Activate, renew, and manage your CrestBid license key.

CrestBid is licensed per plan. After you request a key or your order is confirmed, we generate a signed licence key and email it to you; the install command activates it automatically, and you can change it later inside the app.
Activate or change a key
- Open Settings › License.
- Paste the license key from your email.
- Click Activate. Your plan and entitlements unlock immediately.
How licensing works
Your key is a signed licence key, verified offline — the app checks it against a bundled public key and never contacts a licensing server at runtime. There is no account to log into, and nothing about your usage is reported back.
Questions worth asking
Does the software need to contact us to check the licence? No — validation is fully offline, so it works on an air-gapped machine.
Is it locked to one machine? No. Nothing binds a key to hardware. Your licence covers the seats you bought, wherever you run it.
What happens when a licence expires? AI features stop — drafting, chat, question extraction, knowledge-base ingestion, exports. Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked. You keep every document, answer and knowledge base, and you can still read all of it. The software runs on your hardware, so your data was never ours to withhold.
How do I renew or upgrade? Talk to us; we send a new key. Paste it into Settings › Licence › Activate. It takes effect immediately, with no reinstall and no internet connection.
Renewals and changes
- Licences are quoted and invoiced per term; nothing renews or charges automatically. Before your term ends we’ll contact you to arrange the next purchase order and email a new key if one is needed.
- Upgrading a plan issues a new key — paste it the same way.
- To change or cancel a licence, talk to sales.
Evaluation licence
Contact us to request an evaluation licence key. It’s a time-limited licence with the full Professional feature set, so you’re testing the product you’d actually buy. When it ends, generation and export pause but everything you created stays fully viewable — the platform fails closed for spend, open for access to your own data. Activate a paid plan to continue; your projects are preserved.
