Your first project

Create a project, build its knowledge base, and produce your first draft.

Updated August 28, 2026

A project is a self-contained workspace for one bid or opportunity. It holds its own knowledge base, drafts, and settings.

Create a project

  1. From the dashboard, click New Project and give it a clear name (e.g. the tender reference).
  2. Choose the model the project should use (local or, on paid tiers, a configured cloud model).
  3. Open the project to start adding knowledge.

Build the knowledge base

Add the documents the AI should ground its answers in — past winning proposals, capability statements, certifications, product sheets. CrestBid indexes them locally. See Knowledge base.

Generate your first response

  1. Open Response Studio inside the project.
  2. Paste a requirement or question from the tender document.
  3. Generate a draft grounded in your knowledge base, then edit and accept it.

Accepting and refining drafts trains the Cognitive flywheel, so each project gets better at sounding like your best work.
